Vulnerability

Being Vulnerable

Having your portraits taken is an intimate moment. It doesn’t matter if it’s a boudoir session or otherwise, for many people, being in front of the camera is REALLY uncomfortable. It can feel like a vulnerable position.

Whether you’re self-conscious about your current body shape, crooked teeth or frizzy hair (those are my current areas of concern) I’m here to tell you that you’re worth having memorable portraits with your horse.

Take my word for it, you're worth having memorable portraits with your horse.

It doesn’t matter how old you are, if you’ve colored your hair in the last two weeks or if your nails are done.

It doesn’t matter if your horse is in full training with muscles galore, if they have a fuzzy Winter coat or are underweight for whatever the reason may be.

This is part of why I recommend hiring a professional photographer who is experienced working with horses. We can help you get the best look for you and your horse(s). It’s pretty convenient to have a friend with a nice camera come out and snap some shots for social media, but trust me, NOTHING compares to hiring a pro who specializes in this niche.

The icing on the cake is when you develop a relationship with your photographer and connect with them first as a person you enjoy spending time with.
